Having a toddler coughing at night can be difficult as well, but the following helpful hints should provide at least some relief.
Air Quality: The quality of air can be a huge factor in causing a cough. It can either be that there are so many irritating particles in the air that they cause the cough to occur or it can also have something to do with the amount of moisture in the air.
Buying a humidifier can be an immense help in soothing a cough. These come in an assortment of sizes and even have special oils that can be added to the water for additional benefits in easing a cough.
Kids usually enjoy sipping this while it is still warm, since it is soothing and tastes good as well.
These unseen particles can be highly irritating to throats and are often the culprits of fits of nighttime coughing. Using a vacuum with an excellent filtering system for allergens is great to have, but not always feasible. Even just running a regular vacuum that has a bag in it is better than nothing at all.
Being able to use a vacuum with an excellent filtering system for allergens is also a huge plus in battling these irritants. Bagless vacuums seem to be less likely to allow particles to escape back into the air once they have been contained.
Air that is too dry will often trigger coughing and adding just a little bit of moisture will usually help. Humidifiers come in all sizes and it only takes a little bit of moisture to make a difference.
